Great video. I actually have two of these units. My brother has one and i have the other. Honestly it’s the best interface for beginner and intermediate levels. Also, what program are you using to capture screen recording on windows?

Although the DUO is a version of the same (preamps etc) but has quarter inch and all direct audio ... That evens out the hardware quams ... How do you rate the audio quality vs the Behringer?

Has anyone come across an issue with Logic Pro recording with headphones? if I'm recording say a guitar along with another audio track (drums or whatever) In the recording, you can hear all the other audio tracks in the background almost as if I'm recording the whole output of the project. It's driving me crazy. this only happens if I'm recording with the headphones dial on which I obviously need to so I can play along with the rest of the track. I've searched so many blogs and videos and it seems no one else has come across this! I am so confused with what I am doing wrong. please please please someone help

Funny, but my take-away today was TPS vs TP connectors (silly little thing but I did not realize how they actually worked until I watched this video. So much better than just "use this to do that").

Yeah so none of this worked for me. Mo matter where I position the guitar in relation to centre microphone. As soon as I bring in the centre mic it just leans to the left.

Hey there, so I have the Behringer umc404HD that you reviewed in another video. I must admit that this looks like a tasty little interface but I’d rather sink the money into something else right now. Do you hear a big difference in the sound? Would you suggest switching or does the UMC sound more or less competitive? Thanks!

Whats up? It is now August 2024. I have the UMC404HD. I was wondering what you still thought of it or whether there are new audio interfaces that outshine this one considerably. I still intend to use it unless there is something out there that is so much better. Somebody told me about the Universal Audio Volt interfaces. Is everyone still happy with their UMC 404HDs? Let me know!

oh my, this was HAUNTING me! thanks a lot. I was loosing my mind over this. also, I've seen a fix for this by rotating the array 90 degrees so the stereo field isn't body to neck, but top-down

Great video! Thanks so much for this review!!! For some reason, I like the Motu's preamps better. But when I listen to the audio playback, I hear the SSL sounding more defined, the instruments better placed in the mix, a more solid, wider, bigger stereo field, while the Motu sounds smaller, somewhat blurry, and with a thinner sound.

Thank you for breaking down how the power option affects headroom! I definitely see the same issues you described! I’ve debated whether I should get some extra pieces like DI boxes or preamps to help combat the headroom issue or maybe getting a auxiliary power supply but I think I’ve ultimately decided to get another interface altogether! Would you happen to know of a similar interface that doesn’t have issues with headroom? I play guitar on the bridge humbucker with considerable gain and the steinberg doesn’t handle it well at all haha

That was an amazing intro and demo for the SSL2+, which I bought yesterday. The sound quality is awesome and I think I had less trouble setting it up than you did, but not by much. I wasn't really looking for a guide, just info about the interface. But I found your vid to be entertaining and informative. Thanks for taking the time. SSL should use this video in their promotional ads 😄

Are you able to hear the guitar with Amp sim or do you hear just the dry sound while you are listening to it? or do you hear the amp sim after you record it only?
